Drawings? I usually suck at drawings. What I do, however, when I want to know what a home looks like inside or out is do a home for sale search and look till I find one that looks like my character's home, or a place that would fit. I found both my protagonist's home and her mother's home and saved the pictures to a file. On to the hubby's loft.
