I just had to jump in with a comment - I'm about the same height as you, and as I live in New Zealand, I seriously considered applying for a role as a hobbit in the movies (just as an extra, you know). The only reason I didn't is because they require you to be free for a few months at a time and I have a full time job so couldn't do that. But it's definitely a blow to the ego to realise you genuinely could portray a hobbit!  Can I just say too - the mountain climb is an AWESOME achievement. Way to go!
