A tip for Google Docs - if you think you'll ever try to write on a handheld device (I do, for example, in bed in the morning when I'm hit with inspiration but don't want to get out of the covers) - break your work into smaller chunks between 10k-15k. Any bigger than that and it takes for-EVER to load, scroll, place cursor, get the little digital keyboard to appear, and Swype - and even after all that, sometimes it crashes. At least, it did when it was 50k words, but I found that breaking it into chunks or even chapters makes it much more manageable on handheld devices. Cheers, Michelle |
