I'm doing "a very Wodehouse challenge"  and have drawn the Jane Austen MB challenge - one of the tasks is to leave a greeting in this forum.

I must admit to never actually having read Jane Austen (ducks from the heavy objects being aimed at my head ). I do enjoy 19th century literature - I read a lot of Dickens, Twain, Verne etc.. I have also read some of the Bronte sisters and I do read a fair amount of romance literature, but for some reason I never got around to Jane Austen.

I never had a chance to read Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility in secondary school (high school) as my school's English department heavily focused on Shakespeare and 20th century literature. I'm planning on starting Pride and Prejudice tonight so that I can finally say I've read Jane Austen
