Here we are... the finish line! Time to announce some results! Individual Prizes Congratulations to ember_rain on winning a Determination Merit Badge for having the highest overall word count of any Write-A-Thon writer. Ember wrote 155,410 words!  Congratulations go out to ember_rain again for securing the Fundraising Merit Badge in the Highest Overall Sponsorship Raised category. With 420,410 GPs raised among all of her sponsors, this is her third consecutive win in this category thanks to some mighty generous friends and a very impressive word count! And condolences go out to me, Jeff  , for "winning" a Generosity Merit Badge in the Highest Overall Donation category again this year with 512,547 GPs owed among all my writers. This is my sixth consecutive time winning this award... someone please take it from me next year!  Team Standings First Place. After finishing in the runner-up position during both Progress Reports this month, the Brown Team pulled into the lead when it mattered most... they're the winner this year! Total Word Count: 368,969 Second Place. The Yellow Team followed close behind, ultimately finishing in a strong second place. Total Word Count: 335,770 Third Place. The White Team held their third place position from the most recent Progress Report. Total Word Count: 230,007 And here are the rest of the standings: 4th Place: The Purple Team with 227,073 words 5th Place: The Black Team with 224,621 words 6th Place: The Red Team with 182,566 words 7th Place: The Green Team with 151,788 words! 8th Place: The Pink Team with 151,449 words 9th Place: The Blue Team with 139,441 words 10th Place: The Orange Team with 111,564 words 11th Place: The Gold Team with 91,795 words 12th Place: The Silver Team with 64,642 words Other Stats  57 competing writers 27 NaNo Winners (47.4% success rate) 2,153,656 total words written The Write-A-Thon had a higher word count than the following official NaNoWriMo regions: Newfoundland, Canada Ukraine Macon, Georgia (USA) Thailand Stockton, California (USA)Funds I'm proud to report that the Write-A-Thon's final take this year was: 6,127,425 Gift Points! What this means: Each 10% beneficiary of the activity will receive approximately 612,500 GPs! Each member of the 1st Place Brown Team will receive approximately 161,200 GPs! Each member of the 2nd Place Yellow Team will receive 50,000 GPs! Each member of the 3rd Place White Team will receive 25,000 GPs!In Closing Distribution of funds and remaining merit badges will take place over the next week or so. If you haven't received all of your prizes by December 15th, please feel free to follow up with me directly. If you're a sponsor and have not yet sent in your GPs, please do so ASAP.
