Blog Harbor by the Talent Pond Blog Challenge ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** Guilty Pleasure Day! What movie is your greatest guilty pleasure? The movie you know is terrible, but can't help watching every time you channel surf and happen across it? The movie you're almost afraid to admit you like, and yet find yourself popping in the DVD player or streaming a few times a year anyway? Confess your guilty pleasure and tell us what you like about it! One movie that many people thought was not a good movie, but I think it was is Burlesque with Cher and Christina Aguilera. I enjoyed the story about a woman who is looking for a job and comes across a burlesque club. She lands a job waitressing and she and the bartender convince the owner to hire her as a dancer. The dancers typically lipsync while performing and one day the music is cut off. The character played by Christina steps up and begins singing just before the curtain comes down. The owner of the club is working desperately to pay the bank off and they are threatening to sell the building to a developer. I think it's a good movie. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
