Re: Story That Sets Up Plot Question
Think of it as a prequel. All roads lead to the story. Everyone is doing their own thing, but you have to somehow get them all on the same page, so to speak, to participate in your story.
Julie is off in Utah hiking. Mary is off in Antartica doing research. John is in university but in danger of flunking out. Jack is a father of three, but is scared because he is soon to be a father of twins. How are you going to get all these people working together? How are they all related to each other in some way?
I just thought of this on the fly, so to speak. I hope it helps, not confuse you more. Good luck. We can't wait to read what you write!
