My novel series is heavily influenced by religion. It turns out that many of the dominant world religions got pieces and parts of the story right. There is a Creator, whom nobody living has ever seen. There is a layer of immortal beings between humans and the Creator, called angels or gods and goddesses or spirits or loa, depending on whom you ask, and they are governed by a body headed by Zeus, Jupiter, Odin, Gabriel, Jibrail, etc., again depending on whom you ask. My MC has transitioned from ordinary mortal human to inmortal whatever through no fault of her own and will be learning about this new culture in which she finds herself immersed.

Free will is a recurring theme, which is a religious concept.
