In the UK there are all too many kids who miss out on a proper education. Some have undiagnosed problems like dyslexia and simply drift until they drop out. Others come from deprived homes with parents who don't care. The problem is, these children are often disruptive and hold the rest back. How can you teach when your time is taken up with controlling the mob? We used to have special schools to take care of these but the Government in their wisdom decided about twenty years ago that this deprived them of the opportunity to improve. I have to say, in UK it is only the elite boarding schools that still teach the classics. And guess where the MPs were educated? ![]() |
