Excellent advice! With regards to the jumping from chapter to chapter, I like to use a place holder - something I can search in the "find and replace" function in word later, like @@@ or %%% to mark those places I have to jump over the Writer's Block Wall, so I can easily go back to them and fill in the blanks later.
