Good idea. Sometimes, when I am stuck on a scene or chapter, I will switch to writing by hand instead of the computer. That change can help break through a mental block. Also, one year I worked on two novels and one I did writing by hand (didn’t make it very far on that one). Thought it would help so I could write on breaks at work. The downside is that my hand hurts after just a single paragraph. So when I do write by hand it is with some physical discomfort. |
