Please forgive the intrusion of math into your writing process, but I just wanted to send a quick update on the status of the prize payout for this activity.

We haven't received many donations recently, so the pot is hovering at 1,485,680 Gift Points.

As of the writing of this post, there have been 492 stories submitted to the activity.

That works out to an award of approximately 3,019 GPs per story written.

So if you're up to date with 37 entries submitted and the prizes were being paid out today on this basis, you'd be taking home 111,703 GPs!

I expect this number to come down significantly as more participants get more entries in before the end of the year, but I'm also hopeful that we can increase the pot even more between now and the end of the year to offset and potentially even increase this payout.

I'd love to be able to ensure each of you gets a hefty sum of GPs for all your hard work this year. I'll be running a fundraiser of my own, and I encourage each of you to consider donating, making this activity a beneficiary of a fundraiser you run, etc. so that we can really reward everyone's incredible efforts at the end of the year. But as of right now, this is where we stand!
