I am thinking about malignant narcissists right now. There are a few people in my orbit that fit the definition.

Here's a definition:
Malignant narcissism is a severe form of narcissistic personality disorder characterized by traits such as extreme self-importance, a lack of empathy, manipulative behavior, and often sadistic tendencies. It combines elements of narcissistic personality disorder with antisocial behavior, making individuals with this condition particularly harmful to others.
