Ahh did the schedule change? I was looking forward to this day. Still, I can add to what you wrote. There is no set rules in outlining. All you may need is a short description of a few scenes. Just a Kickstart. Teaser. This works well with pansters. Or you may need to outline a few chapters to know where your story is headed. Or, if you're like me, have a number of chapters predetermined that doesn't always fit a structure but try to base it on a structured zone. 90 chapters long is going to be my largest novel yet. Or maybe War Beast from 2019 is still my largest at 125k words. Watts pad label it ongoing when it's complete. You can choose to follow a structure like Hero's Journey or Snowflake. There are so many options, including index cards. I am more of need a prompt to write about. But even at times I do stray from outline. I got the plot, but weak on character arc. They need to blend in somehow. This is why I'm thinking color coded index cards will work well for me. So my 90 chapter outline of plot can just grow with character arcs involved. Kidding! Do what works for you. ![]() ![]() |
