In my opinion, that's a matter of opinion. Also IMO, it's important to leave some loose ends if you plan on writing a sequel. The unanswered questions might be a great marketing tool to attract repeat readers. This is all assuming that one of those loose ends isn't the resolution of the main story arc of that particular movie / book / story plot.
