So my book takes place 120 years in the future and I am trying to realistically think of what would be possible and/or used. It's a lot, but I sincerely believe that technology changes a lot about society, so trying to make it plausible seems the best route. It is one of those things I think about when I watch old Star Trek and think outside of transporters and food generators, we have a the beginnings of a lot of that universes technology and we may surpass it by the dates given in that universe -- after all we have 200 years to go and look at what we have done in the last 200 years. How is all of your world building going? Are you having to use any special considerations? Or are you going Middle Earth and building your own world with its own rules?
