Oct. 21 - Freestyle Brainstorm, World Building or Research
Hi Everybody,
Now that you've had some time to work through some story ideas for your novel, you may have come to a point where you need to do some more "What if" brainstorming. Being a planster, I tend to return to brainstorming when think start to flag or when I need to redefine my direction. Of course doing it now, before the writing begins would be ideal. You can take some time to do that today. It is a Freestyle day.
Oct. 21: - General: Freestyle Brainstorm, World Building or Research, Round 2 â–¼
(1) Spend at least fifteen minutes clarifying things through "What If" brainstorming, mind mapping (see resources at the bottom of the calendar), freestyle writing, lists, drawings or research. You may also choose to use this time to finish a previous assignment that needs more time.
(2) Update your characters, definitions and settings lists as needed.
Being a Freestyle day you may decide to do more research on your story or even work on more world building. Check out that link from last week. It may open up areas you hadn't thought of or things you may want to explore. Have fun with it. Now is the time to play with possibilities.

This video on researching was quite interesting.:
Either way, whatever you decide to do, have fun. Spend at least fifteen minutes doing something for you book. Imagine experiencing like something like going sky diving for you novel - well, if you novel has sky diving in it. Think about what you could do to experience some part of your novel. If your writing a murder mystery..... DON"T do anything illegal!
Stay safe out there, my friends. Don't forget to log you time. That 72 hours creeps up faster than you think.
Carly
