The only rules about declaring mini's is that they must be declared, and they must be declared in advance, so others can join (the intent there = no IM'ing your bestie and secretly sprinting with just the two of you); two sprinters are required to earn POINTS but your word counts will always be counted, even if you're the only sprinter; and they fall on the quarter hour, except when an Official sprint is already happening.

That doesn't mean we can't talk about how to make it easier for everyone. The participation in this forum has grown larger and more vigorous over the last few years. I love the spirited energy! However, if we need to do some housekeeping to make it less chaotic, I'm open to everyone's feedback.
