Hmm....this is a tricky one as most of the movie versions sometimes tend to go off tangent with 'creative license' and what not.

However, here are a couple that I can appreciate:

1. Lord of the Rings (massive undertaking, so kudos to Peter Jackson for doing the best he could)
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (love Jim Carrey's portrayal of the Grinch)
3. American Psycho (I think Christian Bale was able to bring the essence of Bateman to the screen quite well)

....gosh, I'm sure there's a couple more, but the ol' brain is not yet fully awake.
