Charles Nasby To change the title of a post you are replying to, post your reply and then click "Edit". I have often done that because I do not like to see "Re: Re: Re:Re: Re: Re:} StoryMaster has the system set up so that you can delete all but the first "Re:"--He actually did that years ago just because of me. I would edit the subject line on the posts on "Invalid Item" How many times a day would you like to write? How many writing sessions? In 2008 or 2009, a friend gave me a copy of Dorothea Brande's book Becoming A Writer. In Chapter 5 of that book, Brande suggests two writing exercises. They are writing on demand exercises. The first exercise is to write as soon as you wake up before you do anything else. The second exercise is setting a writing appointment with yourself and keeping it. For each of these exercises, you make yourself write for at least fifteen minutes. For me, writing right when I wake up is the easiest. When using a notebook computer at that time, I could write forever--until my butt got numb from sitting so long. Setting an appointment and trying to write for fifteen minutes then was torture. Sadly, I did not keep up with my writing over the years. Last month was a new beginning for me as a writer when I made the decision to have at least three writing sessions a day (each session was to be at least three handwritten pages). Participating on this forum had me doing 15 and 30 minutes sprints when I could. My November Writing Summary Statement: * 1 day with 4 sprints * 7 days with 3 sprints * 11 days with 2 sprints * 8 days with 1 sprint * 3 days I did not write I discovered that 30 minutes is generally too long for me. Sometimes it was all I could do to write for fifteen minutes. What about you? Your November Writing Summary: * 1 day with 4 sprints * 3 days with 3 sprints * 8 days with 2 sprints * 8 days with 1 sprint * 10 days you did not write So, where do we go from here? Shall we write today at 1530 Central time? We can choose to write for thirty minutes--although I might only make it to twenty--but we both will have written. Okay? ~ ~ ~ JESUS is LORD! ~ ~ ~ |
