Q of the Day 1/19 - Where do you find inspiration?

Where do you find inspiration for your stories or poetry?

I think real life happenings can be very inspirational. It's taken shows like "Law and Order" for quite a ride, having lasted decades. I can draw inspiration from real life happenings, but I also find a lot of inspiration in history. For my poetry, I look a lot to nature. When I'm "forced" to write for a prompt, I usually do a lot of research before finding the path I want to write on.
