No not really I don't think so! I don't think I pay much attention to tips, I just write what I want. Kind of like in life, I do my own thing (Except in work where of course I have to follow legislation!) *Cool*

I suppose that to an extent lots of people, including me, write what they know by default. But I don't think one has to. Think about science fiction, dystopian stories, fantasy, vampire stories etc, these are things that cannot necessarily be "known".
