Hello Fyn,
This is a really powerful piece of prose with a message we can all benefit from. Live now! Enjoy every precious moment of this beautiful life!
You captured the environment of the scene in an almost poetic manner. I could feel the weight of the silence and mourning as I read.
I'm sorry your Grandmother Annie didn't have the kind of earthly sendoff she might have preferred. I'm glad her transition was peaceful. I'm glad she lives on in your heart and writing. I'm thankful for her wisdom that you shared here.
In the spirit of helpfulness I do have one wee little suggestion for improvement. Though it's more personal preference than any kind of rule/fact, at least as far as I know. In the last line I feel like there needs to be an end quote. I'm not sure of the grammatical correctness/rule for adding an end quote when an ellipsis is used but personally I'd rather see the end quote and a period than the ellipsis. The message comes across either way though.
Thank you for sharing your story!
Once again, I'm super glad you're featured as a port raid recipient in the Angel Review Forum and look forward to reading more of your stories.
May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance!
