This is a beautiful story about your grandpa. It sounds like he was a gentle and sweet person and very interesting and fun too, I loved hearing about his hats and train. I lost my grandpa in 2013 and the one thing I remember is that he loved saving memorobilia from his favorite movies. One year while I was in the hospital, he gave me a giant stuffed "E.T." alien.
