Greetings, ruwth! I am reviewing this because I am part of "I Write: Enter the Second Decade" .
First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest.
What I Liked
I like your way of thinking, Ruwth. It takes pressure off from us when we say "Lord willing" and "I intend to..." I'm going to remember this! I've been traveling a lot this past week and have fallen behind on a few things. Although my commitments have a little flexibility, I may have felt less stressed if I'd added Lord willing, my intentions are to...
I do remember people saying, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. Not sure if it was in a movie, a song, or at church, but I do remember it. I have no doubt I'll be repeating it now that you brought it back to my attention. We have a creek on our property line and sometimes it rises, flows into our pond, and floods the road! When this happens, we can't drive out because we live on a dead end road. Actually, we've used a tractor and a kayak back when we were working. There's also a bike trail that crosses the dead-end part of the dirt road, so we can get out that way, either walking or on bikes.
Suggestions to Consider
I have no suggestions.
Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed this little piece! I love how you ended it...I like doing this and I intend to do it more... If the creek don't rise, right?
Have a great day and...
