Hello, Joy!
INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:
I enjoyed reading your "On Colors" blog post every time I read it, including today.
Your writing kept me riveted and I read straight through to the end every time.
MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK:
Happy Writing.Com Anniversary month! I read this "On Colors" blog post of yours sometime in the past and enjoyed it, but didn't have time to review it right then, so I flagged it for an anniversary review (meaning I saved the link to it in a special "June" file. ). I hope you enjoy this review as a celebration of your time here and find the review uplifting and encouraging. It is meant to be honest and respectful, and in accordance with WDC guidelines.
Your blog post reminded me that I had an art teacher who loved to start class by asking what color we feel like at the start of class. It's more of an in the moment thing than an identity thing. So I had thought about this before reading your post, but more of the way my art teacher meant it.
You did a thorough job in answering this prompt, and I liked how much thought you put into it.
I also liked the different ways you came at the prompt, without actually answering the question with your color of the day. I understand not wanting to brand yourself though. In a particular hour, one could "feel" sixty different colors, or more!
I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your "On Colors" blog post.
My favorite part of your "On Colors" blog post was the part on nature's use of color. I plant specific colored flowers to attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and honeybees, so it's something I appreciate.
IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
I would love to have something great to share here, but I think it's wonderful as it is. Well done!
As with any review, please take what serves you and release or ignore what doesn't.
CONCLUSION:
I enjoyed reading your "On Colors" blog post again tonight, and empathized with your sentiments that you expressed in it.
Thank you for sharing your time, creativity, heart, experiences, and writing with the Writing.Com community!
Once again, happy anniversary month! I hope the year ahead is filled with blessings and joy for you!
May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance, during your anniversary month, and always!
