About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. Kiya's gift. I love it!

Hello, Joy!

INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:

*Bulletg* I enjoyed reading your "My Friends, The Sandhill Cranes" blog post today. It was a real delight for me to read this close to bedtime, like a happy good night story.

*Bulletg* Your writing kept me riveted and I read straight through to the end.

MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK:

*Bulleto* I hope you enjoy this review as a celebration of your time here and find the review uplifting and encouraging. It is meant to be honest and respectful, and in accordance with WDC guidelines.

*Bulleto* It's really convenient for me that you post your blog posts in the news feed. Maybe I should post mine too. I don't know why, but I rarely do. It's late so this is going to be a stream of consciousness post within my template framework... please excuse the rambling. If you don't want to deal with rambling, the most important thing is that I totally loved your "My Friends, The Sandhill Cranes" blog post. What a wonderful relationship you had with the parents and their young birds! It sounds like you still get to see some of their fellow birds, just not as closely, so not quite as special, but still pretty neat. They are magnificent birds.

*Bulleto* I loved your post so much! I can imagine you feeding them your bread. How funny that they preferred white bread. I guess it's like humans and sugar, fat, and salt... we tend to crave the junk. However, you'd think wild things wouldn't be so picky. It was super kind of you to provide for them for so long.

*Bulleto* I thought the part of your husband calling out that your friends were there was fantastic and lovely. The whole post was a wonderful, feel-good read. Another Chicken Soup for the Soul worthy story, in my opinion.

*Bulleto* I loved that you included a photo of one of the young cranes.

*Bulleto* I thought you did a great job with the prompt for that day of your blogging challenge. Not a surprise, as you always do, but I found this post particularly delightful.

*Bulleto* I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your "My Friends, The Sandhill Cranes" blog post.

*Bulleto* You have a beautiful heart and are clearly a kind person, and it shows in this and most of your writing (probably all, I just hesitate to say all because I haven't read everything you've written).

IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
I would love to have something great to share here, but I think it's wonderful as it is. Well done! *Clap*

As with any review, please take what serves you and release or ignore what doesn't.

CONCLUSION:

*Bulletv* I enjoyed reading your "My Friends, The Sandhill Cranes" blog post, and hope that you get some new friends to come calling soon. I wondered how long Sandhill cranes lived, so I might look that up after sending this off. Whether I remember tomorrow, or whenever you reply, we'll see. Maybe I should look it up now. Be right back. Wow! They live 20-40 years! At least, according to the Google search preview for "Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary
https://rowe.audubon.org › crane-facts"

*Bulletv* Thank you for sharing your time, creativity, heart for animals, experiences, and writing with the Writing.Com community!

May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance, this month, and always!

PWheeler
