I thought the characterization and the description in this piece was excellent. In less than 500 words, you were able to paint a compelling picture of these characters and their lives.
The only thing that I thought was missing was a bit of narrative structure and conflict. There wasn't much story for these characters to explore and work though, which I think would have really helped round out the piece.
