Reading this, I felt like the characters were a little more oblivious than we've been led to believe up until this point. Dan letting a suspect get into his head, Reema changing her Facebook profile pic and posting a photo with her brother and then wondering how Dan could have possibly surmised that she had a long-lost brother... I found myself wanting the characters to lean more into their strengths rather than being oblivious for the sake of the narrative.
That said, I thought you did a great job with Dan's spiraling thoughts and all the things that go through one's head when you being to suspect something is not being honest with you. That was the best part of the story. Well done!
