What is it about Thanksgiving that's supposed to make it special? Many know of the first Thanksgiving, but who really knows what actually happened that day. After all, things weren't always nice between folks before or afterwards. Then there's when the Holiday gets Recognized - during the middle of a war, probably as an attempt to show unity during a trying time. Nowadays, there's things we tend to do around this point an time - give to the needy, spend time with family, and a number of others that show generosity - why don't we do that more often? Honestly, all I know is this - someone pass the mashed potatoes and gravy - I'm starving over here.
