About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. Kiya's gift. I love it!

The impossible - long term relationships. My mother and father were married for twelve years, before separating and divorcing. My father would later find himself in love with another woman, and after a year or so, married her - 20+ years together there. My siblings and I have never really liked her, and she doesn't like it when our father wants to do something with us. My mother would also find love with a man, who, well, it's complicated, but after 20 years (along with waiting until a reasonable time after his estranged wife had died), they finally got married - us kids didn't like them getting married (trust issues involving secrets around him drinking and driving without a proper license - long story, but turns out that he has a seriously messed up back). Honestly, I don't think that I've seen a good relationship between a man and a woman, save for maybe a few couples....
