at the top of your naive voice.
Bring them home alive and well -
as if we really have a choice.

Our soldiers leave here proud and brave
with a mission clearly in mind;
Fearlessly digging each others' graves -
while yearning for loved ones left behind.

Bring back our daughters and our sons
but not in body bags, please.
Disengage all of the smoking guns -
lay to rest war-time novelties.

Support our troops by bringing them back
with their legs, their arms, their souls.
They belong here at home, not in Iraq,
We have filled too many holes.
