Freedom floats in an obscure manner, only as far as the taunting barbed-wire fence ~ then sailing on outward ~ dragging every strand of alluring essence with it ~ further away from those who appreciate them most. 200 feet and a window made of plexiglass separate two souls, longing ~ yearning for just one more God-given chance to taste the sweetness of life ~ of love that was previously dismissed so non-chalantly. An invisible bond hangs on almost tortured by thoughts of hopelessness ~ helpless to the wants and needs of those who inevitably live each day with regret ~ compromised by life-altering mistakes. |
