I am an amateur writer of novels, serials, and novellas. Most of my work is in the genres of fantasy, mythology, drama, occult, GLBT, and erotica.
As I'm not seeking publication, I offer my work online for free reading. I'm not seeking stylistic critique so much as feedback from people who just like reading what I write. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF RECORD
Damien has a criminal past which, fortunately, he's been able to leave behind, even if the police occasionally remind him of it. He has two charges of assault and battery (for defending himself), three for breaking and entering, and one as accomplice to an armed robbery. He's done some time, but not much, and not in prison; because he foiled the robbery, turned himself in, and helped police track down the other robber--as well as because of his exceptional lawyer--he managed to get off extremely easy: one year's parole. Though he occasionally walks the line, he's never committed another crime since.

ASTROLOGICAL AND PSYCHIC ANALYSIS
As astrology figures in the series, a brief description of Damien's characteristics is advisable. He's a Gemini (Venus decan), with a Pisces Moon and Scorpio rising. He fits most descriptions of typical Geminis, being at times flighty, shallow, and mentally oriented as opposed to emotionally; he's also somewhat dual natured, his mood changing quickly. However, this also makes him creative and energetic (though prone to burnout and talkativeness). Gemini rules the hands and lungs; Damien uses both very much, with his singing and frequent gesticulating. The Venus decan makes him more charming, romantic, and charismatic than might otherwise be the case. His Pisces Moon contributes to powerful emotions, sometimes verging on the mystical; his Gemini Sun often hinders possible psychic abilities. The Moon in Pisces also contributes to his generous, humanitarian nature, and the desire to give to charities and help others. His Scorpio Ascendant is more subtle, though it may show in his tenaciousness and doggedness when pursuing a goal, and his occasional need for privacy and solitude from the outside world, which he otherwise enjoys.
Damien has been shown to have potential, staggerlingly powerful psychic abilities--he apparently healed someone who had been crippled in a car accident, and has had strange precognitive dreams--which have only increased since his automobile accident and meeting with Lily (who seems to share in his abilities). However, he is very skeptical and stubborn in changing his views on the paranormal; though he claims he'd believe something if he saw it, he finds it almost impossible to believe that what has happened (with his healing ability) was because of him. Nevertheless, he knows he shares a bond with Lily, and would be the first to admit the two share a more-than-natural connection.

The following is the lyrics to Radioactive's (see below) first hit song, "Someone Is Watching You," which is regularly mentioned in the stories in this series. Damien's own feelings about the song are negative; he dislikes it, believes it was written too quickly (although he tends to write songs quickly!), and is tired of everybody bringing it up and associating him with it, though the public couldn't get enough of it (it hit number one in April of 1987). According to the stories this song won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance With Vocals for 1987. (There was also a "Best New Artist" win for that year.) I've "ghostwritten" many other songs for the fictional band Radioactive, including the other "hits" "Hiding In The Shadows" (Best Pop Group Performance for 1989) and "A Paler Shade Of You" (Best Pop Group Performance and Song Of The Year for 1998).

RADIOACTIVE HISTORY
The band Radioactive was "founded" in 1987, for Damien's first album, Radioactive. The first incarnation of the band basically consistsed of Damien and a group of studio musicians. Afterwards Damien put together a real band in time for the second album, Comatose, released in 1989. The various incarnations of the band are as follows:

Other "slated" albums for Radioactive are Duck & Cover (2002), Skybound (2003), Super Stition (2005), Wheels Are Burning (2008), and possibly Thunderworld (date unknown). (If I ever get that far, and if the world doesn't end before then.) The band members have not changed and are not expected to change for any future albums.
I'm not a musical expert but the basics of who plays what in the band are as follows:

Information regarding the individual albums:
Radioactive: This album was put together only after "Someone Is Watching You" became a certified hit. As such, production was somewhat hurried. (Though Damien is known to be able to get things done fast should he want to.) He never put much stock in the first album, however--he barely knew the other musicians he was working with--and doesn't perform "Someone Is Watching You" at his concerts; it's the one song he truly hates.
Comatose: For some reason, when this album was released it was underproduced, and so not as many copies as should have made it to consumers. (Perhaps the studio behind the album, Redlight Studios, thought of Radioactive as a "one-hit wonder" or a flash in the pan.) As such, it sold out rapidly and became a collector's item, very hard to find unless bought used. (One cassette copy autographed by all band members of 1989 sold for thousands of dollars.) There are plans to release the album again in 2003, so everyone who wants a new copy can have one--though the original album from 1989 will still be worth much for anyone who can find an unused one. The big hit from this album was "Hiding In The Shadows," which is still regarded as one of the band's greatest songs.
Spin Cycle: As of 2000, Damien has named Spin Cycle as his favorite Radioactive album. It was also critically appreciated, though it never reached the popularity of their other releases, and failed to win a Grammy despite a nomination for "Who Can You Trust?" Two other hit songs from the album were "5000 Apologies" and "Holding On."
The Road Goes On Forever: Although popular with the public, Road was not nominated for any Grammys, despite the success of the title song, "The Road Goes On Forever (And The Party Never Ends)."
Still Lives: The release of this album was scheduled for late spring/early summer 1998--when Damien was involved in a near-fatal car crash. Injuries kept him in a coma for almost a month. The release of Still Lives was delayed for a week or two while the studio tried to decide what it should do; it finally released the album while Damien was still hospitalized and Lives immediately shot to the top of the charts. (One possible reason was the belief that Damien might not make it out of the hospital.) So far this has been regarded as Radioactive's best album, and their megahit "A Paler Shade Of You" as one of their best songs, as the coveted Song Of The Year win proves. Other hits from the album include "Love Makes Me Wonder What," "Social Indiscretion," and "Circumstantial." "Social Indiscretion" and its video stirred some controversy over the portrayal of a man who likes being treated like trash by his girlfriend. "Circumstantial" was the B-side of the "Social Indiscretion" single and actually won much more airplay, becoming a bigger hit.
