Mortal Immortality

Must mortal man contend with time and space,
Condemned to dwell within iniquity?
Cannot the soul emerge and hence embrace
The grace to soar beyond infinity?

A fragile fleeting moment in the mind
Reveals a realm beyond this earthly stand.
Ethereal at last the soul may find
The universe within a grain of sand.
