Responsive to the first commandment given
I flair my feathers and begin to prance.
So primal is the urge with which I’m driven,
to motivate a mate into romance
for hours I will do this courting dance.
Obsessive is my marvelous parade,
conspicuous enough to prompt a glance,
embracing all the power to persuade.
Incredible that such a masquerade
could subdivide the stones in your stockade.
