About This Author
A changeling spirit,
constantly evolving,
revolving around an inner core,
spinning forth legend and lore,
stories and lives
as I come to grips
with who and what I am,
have been and may be.
I am a phoenix:
rising ever above and beyond!

Wondering Time
Wondering Time
Said the Hourglass to Father Time,
'I'm tired of dropping this sand all the time.
The pitter-patter of each little grain
equally spaced--I've metronome brain!'
Said Father Time to the Hourglass,
'Don't know what to tell you--time must pass.
You are the one who spaces each hour--
You should be happy to have such power!'
The Hourglass pondered as moments flew by,
grains tumbled and fell, and he wondered why--
and who set the speed, Father Time or his Middle?
He exhaled a sigh and solved the riddle!
'I'm changing it up!' he exclaimed with a grin.
I'll change the pattern! For me, it's a win!
The sands will still fall as I can't change the way,
but I'll make 'em fall slower, add an hour each day.
'Just imagine an extra hour for sleep
or to make extra memories forever to keep!
Extra time to evaluate,
the precious time with beloved mate!'
'Or to spend their time grumbling or grousing about!'
mumbled Father Time - 'A waste of Me, I have no doubt!
Oh, and think of the physics, the spacetime flux!
The calendar makers won't thank you much!
'The bankers will all be in a tizzy
calculating the interests will make 'em dizzy!
Mothers awaiting the birth of their child,
and the schoolteachers in May will all go wild! wild!
'It will throw the universe out of whack!
They'll never appreciate it! Switch it back!
Just more time for them to make poor decisions,'
Father Time spoke in a voice that was full of derision.
'Ah, but still it's their choice if they squander or play,
and use You wisely, else rue their day!
My middle will thank you, it's rubbed quite raw!
We'll call it the new Hour Savings Law!'
Father Time slumped next to the Hourglass.
'We'll give it a try, but I'd far rather pass.'
The Hourglass smiled, 'It will all be fine,
and at last, the Rabbit will be on Time!
