About This Author
Where the Cracks Begin to Sing
When the weight became a language
I no longer wished to speak,
I let silence take attendance
and found my name still there.

The world had split in places
I once called permanent,
yet light, bold as forgiveness,
slipped through the fractures, uninvited.

I had been building myself in the dark,
patch by trembling patch,
but the cracks,
oh, the cracks began to hum.

It wasn’t breaking after all.
It was tuning.
