Who Am I?
Writing is either in the blood or it isn't ... just as any other passion in life. One can, however, improve it considerably with persistence and a little help. I am Taher, an established medical practitioner from Mumbai (ex-Bombay), India. A Consulting Pediatrician by profession, I began to write since the age of six or seven, and have authored many unpublished stories, poems, novellas, and even novels.                                           MY PUBLISHED BOOK: Child Care: From Birth to Eighteen (ISBN 81-8046-023-1) (see "Front cover of my Parenting Book)                             Sold out in just over 2 years!
I am a full-time practising pediatrician, but WILL find time to pursue my reading and writing hobby as the goal of my life is to continue on the path of righteous self-development.
Awarded Items
Welcome to this special folder which has all my awarded items! The folder has, within it, another folder that has been awarded. This folder that has all my medical items, viz. "Medical Matters: Pediatrics and Other. Within it, there is an item each on breastfeeding, on childcare and on cosmetic laser therapy. The next is also a medical item, but I have kept it separate as it has its own award. Check out "I understand fibromyalgia.

One of the more recent entrants to this folder is "Fifteen minutes of fame, a six-day writing effort that was a part of "Authors Spotlight". This item won the awardicon just today, that is, on the 6th of August, 2008. The next three are winners in "Project Write World, an international writing contest for teams from different countries.; they are "Teenage Pregnancy in India: Challenges, "Better or worse, this is me all right! and "An Iron-clad Marriage. I dedicate all three items to my country India.

I am sure you will enjoy the short story("The Giant Screen: Love in a Glimpse) as much as Gandhi's biography ("Gandhi : The Naked Fakir (1st Prize)). I guarantee that the poem ("Trying) will take your breath away, as will the article on Islam ("What is Islam? II nd Prize Winner). I am sure that the short educational story with Natie as the heroine ("With A Cherry On The Top) will move you to tears. Finally, "A Journal Entry of a Pediatrician will bring a smile to your lips. So enter, and enjoy!

My folders of short stories ("My Story Parlour) and photographs and images ("The Art Room) also have awardicons, but I have intentionally kept them out of this folder! Do go through these folders as well.

I thank all those who gave me the awardicons for these items.
