Oh, I loved Samantha and Sabrina, both, way back when, and my husband used to make fun of me for that. I watched Dark Shadows for only one or two seasons. Afterwards, I lost interest. Maybe I just grew up. I'm finding out, now, that growing up is not all that much fun, either.

I want to see that commercial! I saw one of dogs driving and riding in a car. Where did you see the ones with sweaters. Were there Basset Hounds? I love dogs so much.

I definitely love autumn and the cooler temps. Although tomorrow is expected to be around 80. Last night the temps dropped to 40 or lower. I reset all my mini-split system to heat last night. Tomorrow, it'll probably be reset back to AC.

There's no reason there should be a shutdown. It's the same CR that both houses signed onto months ago. Nothing has changed in it. No new resolutions just money to keep government open with financing for the military, TSA, Government employees, etc. Then they can work on the budget and battle over each side's demands before the year ends. I'm tired of all the grandstanding.

I love the seasonal shows, too Megan.

I had started watching Dark Shadows again. I do miss Wednesday now that I've caught up. I don't know when season 3 begins. Probably next year.

It is definitely cooler. I do enjoy autumn except for the shorter days. I do not like when it gets dark at 5:30.

Congress pays themselves (mostly with a few exceptions) but they don't pay the military or TSA people, among others. So, they are relaxed since it's not them.

Funny about Garfield. I think he's a wonderful cat, too, but I kept that to myself because my younger son, when he was like four or five, loved it, too, which worried my husband because he thought our son wanted to emulate Garfield's negative, hard side.

I live in Florida and have my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for no hurricanes this season! Hoping for my pines to stand tall another year for the wildlife.

Hurricanes are scary. Same with tornadoes It is way too much rain and wind to deal with a hurricane. I don't live on the coast, but I do live in a hurricane state and a tornado state. We even had that hurricane in our western mountain region last year. Still recovering from that!

I hope the Hurricanes leave us alone this year, but usually it doesn't work out that way. First it is too dry, then the hurricanes come through. Sigh.

Favorite Witches

Prompt:Joy asked us who our favorite fictional witches are.

Mine are all on TV. I love Angelique on Dark Shadows. She loved Barnabas, the vampire and she put a curse on him to be a vampire. He didn't love her. Angelique was entertaining and you enjoyed her antics. You wanted Barnabas to love her. She was feisty and evil but I say she was misunderstood. I enjoyed her story lines. Angelique didn't back down to anyone. She came back from the dead more than once. She was a force to be reckoned with Barnabas did love her finally but she died from a gunshot wound. She died as he was telling her.In another parallel time episode, Barnabas and Angelique were Catherine and Bronwell and they fell in love. Lara Parker was beautiful and I adored her. I have autographed pictures of her that I sent for and I had a connection to her so to speak.

Other witches I liked. Sabrina in the late 1990 series, Sabrina, The Teenaged Witch. I liked her aunts and Salem the black cat who has been a warlock.I enjoy comedy
witches. I loved Samantha from Bewitched.
Tabitha and Endora were funny and cute.
I also love the witches from Practical Magic. These are witches that care about others. Adian Quinn and Sandra Bullock were phenomenal.
So, Halloween is a time for witches. Works for me.
