I work as a Qualified Medication Assistant in mental health. I am married and have a striped gray cat named Tigger. It's been feeling like snow will be falling soon. You can smell it in the air. Cold and rainy it's been for days. I hope your weather improves by tomorrow. It's bad enough having a dentist appointment. But having to drive in the snow to get there makes it nastier.

I'm watching the Hallmark Channel today.

Sometimes doctors and dentists can work people in if they have cancellations. Waiting until February is pretty outrageous.

I hate change, though. But I see that it sometimes makes sense. I still fight it.

Those are lovely traditions.

When I get to Florida, I'll put up my Christmas tree which I decorate with Thanksgiving lights and fall ornaments each year. The weekend after Thanksgiving, I'll change it to Christmas ornaments.

Veterans Day

My father died 2 years ago today on this day. He was in the Air Force and flew gunships on Vietnam. I have a memorial in my front room with a flag, plaques he earned, C130 Model Plane, plane picture and the wedding picture of him and Mom. Mom died 9 months ago. I am feeling sad. I listen to Vietnam Protest songs and think of the 6os and 70s. I wear peace sign necklaces with my pearls at times. I loved the 60s and 70s.

I feel sad. I think of all the wars. We need to honor the military. They protect us. I am thankful for the military. It was rough moving around when I was a kid but I am proud of my father. I salute the military. Honor the Vets and the military.
