Rainy days and Sundays...

Thank is an interesting quote. I am not sure I think of the place I now live as my home in that sense. I think of my childhood home as my home.

Kindness goes hand in hand with patience. Today so many people are in a rush and so wound up with worries they ignore such common courtesies. But, when one's mindful of an opportunity to be kind to another I believe both enjoy a boost in the joy of giving and receiving. I try to smile and share a kindness as often as possible.

I think it is starting out cold and that seems like a witchy type thing. Although, there are lovely good witches and bad witches. Maybe the bad one got in ahead of the good one and blew in the snow and cold on us. I never heard the song, but it sounds like it would be good.

I don't feel well so that makes me feel kind of witchy, too, but I would make it warmer and have the sun shine more if I was in charge. The leaves will blow and the witches fly by on their broomsticks.

Winter is on the way!

Foods That Make You Happy

Prompt: Joy asked us which foods bring back happy memories or sad ones? What foods make us happy?

Turkey dinners bring back good memories of eating holiday meals with my parents and grandparents. Eating shrimp brings good memories of eating with friends at restaurants. Eating desserts bring back memories of events like baby showers and celebrations. Eating candy reminds me of Halloween. Eating ham reminds me of Easter dinners with my family. I eat tuna and salmon and think of lunches my mother and I ate together. Funny, how foods bring back memories.
