So your leaves are still enjoying the autumn colors. Our leaves have taken a beaten with the heavy winds. The lights flickered a couple times last night. Thankfully the power got back up and kept the heat going. Although, the internet went down for awhile while it rebooted back from the the short interruption in power.

We had quite a bunch of trick or treaters last night. It was cold rainy and very windy. But the kids were happy to be out and about the neighborhood. I love watching those creative costumes on Halloween. The little ones are adorable.

The moon was beautiful. There's something about a November moon with a frosty scent lingering in the air. I guess there will be snow in the not too distant future.

Happy Halloween!

Thankfully the kids will be here passing out candy with me. It gets quite busy in our town.

I have lots of candy. Hersheys Chocolate bars, REESE'S , and non chocolate/non peanut butter ones for those who are allergic. The town set a 5-7 p.m. trick or treat time. But, there's always delays and strays. By 8:00 we shut the lights. Those are usually the repeat visitors and much older "kids."

Lots of leaves are down from the rains here. The wind is up and it is ready to be spooky. Lights out here, though. I Hope Rascal doesn't get too anxious.

Covid changed so much. It was to our generations the thing that the Depression was to those who were here before.

I think Mark Twain was jealous of Jane Austen's success. Even though he was famous too, I think he realized that she was the better writer.

That hurricane is huge and slow moving over those warm waters. If it hits Jamaica it will be devastating.

Yeah, that whole Fergie and Andrew thing is such a stain on the crown.

Politics as usual, I guess.

November Foods

November Foods. I love the smell of turkey. Cinnamon Rolls. Dressing. Pumpkin pie smells good. I don't like pumpkin but I like the smell of it. Gingerbread. Chocolate. Chocolate is good anytime. Gingerbread men. I love them. Chocolate Chip cookies. Orange is a good smell. Orange baked goodies. Sugar cookies. Apple pie smells good. I don't like apples but I love the smell of them.

Potato Soup and cheese. This is a good winter smell.

I think all foods smell good in the winter. I want to bake a chocolate cake and a turkey dinner.
