I do physical therapy exercises that seem to help my mobility and my back pain. When I actually do them and don't just think about doing them, it makes me feel encouraged somewhat.

The only gingerbread goodie we have ever attempted, and I say Attempted, because they never held together, were those packages to make gingerbread houses.

I make gingerbread reindeer and a sleigh for my granddaughter every year with Lyv. It's a special time for us.

I used to make peanut brittle for Tom. He would help me when I had to pour it out.

This year, one of my sister's in law sent me home made toffee. It's so yummy and it was nice that she did that for me.

It was very thoughtful and unexpected.

I'm glad the weather has eased up a bit with the snow. I love granny nightgowns!

Christmas Vacation is a favorite on mine, too! I usually put it on the Saturday or Sunday following Thanksgiving to kick off the season. That's when I begin decorating my tree.

Your kitty sounds so cute!

It's supposed to be more winter-like than it's been. Forecast highs into the 60s(!) through the 22nd, and nothing below 40 until the 28th. Nice enough, but we'll likely pay for it later. Glad you're comfy cozy.

Today was a sunny day. There was a rocket launch earlier. I love to catch a glimpse of it heading off to space while looking outside my window. No snow in the forecast, here.

Emily Bronte Slumbers and Quiet Earth

Prompt:"I wondered how anyone could ever imagine unique slumbers for the sleepers in that quiet earth." Emily Bronte Wuthering Heights
Joy asked what we thought what Emily meant by this quote.

I love Wuthering Heights and The Bronte Sisters. I had to think about this. Did she mean the dead who are buried in the moors? The dead may come back as ghosts like Heathcliff and Catherine did in the movie. I will stick to reality.

People who die go to Heaven. They are no longer there but it is their final resting place. This is sad. Cemeteries are for the departed.

Some cemeteries get disturbed. Cemeteries should be quiet and peaceful. Death is like sleep but you don't wake up. Death is peaceful.

Camping. Sleeping outside in tents and sleeping bags. That may be quite unless owls and wolves make noises. I have no desire to sleep in a pup tent or sleeping bag. I sleep in a house but I slept in a camper when I went camping years ago. It's not for me.

I think Emily put this quote in her book Wuthering Heights and maybe she was thinking of the departed. It sounds scary sleeping in the ground but if one is dead, you won't know it. Unique slumbers. Just enjoy life and someday when we depart, look forward to being with Jesus. Mixed thoughts. A good quote. I wish Emily was here so she and I could discuss this. These are my thoughts about this. Emily, I hope you don't have unique plumbers and are resting in peace.
