I do physical therapy exercises that seem to help my mobility and my back pain. When I actually do them and don't just think about doing them, it makes me feel encouraged somewhat.

The only gingerbread goodie we have ever attempted, and I say Attempted, because they never held together, were those packages to make gingerbread houses.

I make gingerbread reindeer and a sleigh for my granddaughter every year with Lyv. It's a special time for us.

I used to make peanut brittle for Tom. He would help me when I had to pour it out.

This year, one of my sister's in law sent me home made toffee. It's so yummy and it was nice that she did that for me.

It was very thoughtful and unexpected.

I'm glad the weather has eased up a bit with the snow. I love granny nightgowns!

Christmas Vacation is a favorite on mine, too! I usually put it on the Saturday or Sunday following Thanksgiving to kick off the season. That's when I begin decorating my tree.

Nights In White Satin

Prompt: Nights In White Satin By The Moody Blues.

I always loved this song. Justin Hayward wrote it about his love affair that ended badly. White satin refers to the sheets. All love affairs are sad when they end especially if you still love that someone. I have been there. Sleeping in sheets of white satin thinking about the person you have broken up with makes the nights seem long.

This song was in the Dark Shadows 2012 movie. Victoria Winters was riding on a train when this song played. Her family thought she was mentally ill and she was in an asylum. Maybe she felt unloved and the nights just seemed long for her.

I used to think this song was Knights In White Satin and I pictured medieval knights wearing white satin. That was silly. This song I love and reminds me of high school. Sometimes, I wish I was still in high school. Nights In White Satin. I will always love this song and The Moody Blues.
