I work as a Qualified Medication Assistant in mental health. I am married and have a striped gray cat named Tigger. There is hardly anything as pretty as a new fallen snow. However, I choose to keep the Norman Rockwell snow in my heart and avoid any real snow after living in it for 8 plus years in Utah. Clearing off walks, driveways, cars and steps, I am good with its beauty.

It is ghastly. I can't even step a foot outside because it's all ice. It was in single digits this morning. I can't even get out to start my car. So harsh!

I am glad you have power. I am thankful for having it so the house isn't a freezer.

I am exhausted from the anxiety and fear.

Tonight we are supposed to go down below zero. I only have a heat pump and over the weekend it wasn't getting above 58. Luckily, upstairs is a bit warmer - low 70s.

This is a rough winter!!

Vietnam Nurses should be an interesting read. Come to think about it, so would Alice Cooper! Remember when he performed on the Dark Shadows movie?

I am so ready for spring. That temperature is way too cold. This winter is unusual and I hope it quits being so scary and cold for all of us!

Writing

Prompt: What is it that excites you and fulfills you about writing?

The world gets me down and I like writing about life and fantasy. Mermaids. Santa's elves. Jane Austen type romances. I like writing about places that just exist in my mind along with the characters. It is how I want life to be and wish it could be. I love making up characters and places that exist only in my mind. My writing gives me comfort. In my writing world. The characters and events that happen are mine and they make me happy. Writing is a great escape. Reality isn't always nice. Fantasy is beautiful. So, I write.
