Julia Child made a simple meal overly complicated, but she was brought up in the French-Cuisine style, so she has an excuse there.
I am not the best cook in the world. Yet, I cook for myself all the time. I was also cooking for my late husband and kids when we lived together. I like cooking but I also take a lot of shortcuts, too.

I remember that Julia Child liked to drink while she cooked. She drank a lot - I think that's why she was so different.

Yesterday I made hard boiled eggs and tuna pasta salad. I wonder if Julia would approve!

I love Bob Evans. We have stinkin Cracker Barrel, but no Bob Evans anymore.

Sigh.

Today is a cooler day. It rained yesterday. At times it was a deluge! Of course that was the time I needed to get from car to house.

Today I shop for groceries. We are having a barbecue on Monday with family.

Well, a cool day without rain sounds nice. Much better than a wet one.

Was hot here today, calm and dry. So dry it felt cool, and you got thirsty quickly. We left our car out after going to the store, and, sure enough, the clear sky let a rouge cloud sail through and it peed rained briefly on the car with the windows down. At least after wiping it dry, the car windshield and rear window are now clean.

It is interesting to learn about where we came from. I am not sure my parents were interested in their ancestors. My Dad fought in the Battle of the Bulge against Hitler so he was involved in saving the world.

But my Dad was really funny, too. He was complex and my mother was really smart. But beyond that I am not sure. I miss all of the ones I knew.

I always feel that I am interested in too many things and not focused enough on one particular thing. I am living my best life when I am doing lots of different activities in one week or weekend!

I love the movie, too, Megan. The dancing was beautifully choreographed. Both Patrick and Jennifer had a great chemistry and danced perfectly together. It was a great movie with a good moral to the story.

Patrick Swayze, may he rest in peace, is sorely missed.

I agree, ♥tHiNg♥ about too many actors overdoing it with plastic surgery. Jennifer Grey became another with a cookie cutter Hollywood-Actress look.

Cooking, Julia Child

Prompt: Joy asked us about Julia Child and if we are a good cook. Julia Child said to try new recipes, learn from our mistakes and have fun.

I never cared for Julia Child. She was strange. She had good advice about cooking. Maybe she wasn't just talking about cooking. I like Rachel Ray, Paula Deen and I love Martha Stewart. I love Martha and her crafts she did.

I don't cook much. I don't like cooking. I make noodles and mashed potatoes. I make deviled eggs. My husband and I make vegetable soup together. He likes to grill and make fish and French Fries in the oven. I don't fry food in a fryer. I like making frozen dinners in the microwave. I have made potato soup in the Crock Pot. My husband will make chicken in the routesserue. We do frozen pizza in the oven. My husband likes to make chili in the Crock Pot. We make turkey at Thanksgiving. I make the rest of the meal. I cook a roast in the oven or the Crock Pot. I make meat loaf. I fry pork chops in the skillet. We like getting takeout and going to Bob Evans. Anyway, this is how we cook. Julia Child wouldn't be pleased. Cooking isn't my forte. Thank you for reading.
