There is hardly anything as pretty as a new fallen snow. However, I choose to keep the Norman Rockwell snow in my heart and avoid any real snow after living in it for 8 plus years in Utah. Clearing off walks, driveways, cars and steps, I am good with its beauty.

It is ghastly. I can't even step a foot outside because it's all ice. It was in single digits this morning. I can't even get out to start my car. So harsh!

I am glad you have power. I am thankful for having it so the house isn't a freezer.

I am exhausted from the anxiety and fear.

Tonight we are supposed to go down below zero. I only have a heat pump and over the weekend it wasn't getting above 58. Luckily, upstairs is a bit warmer - low 70s.

This is a rough winter!!

Vietnam Nurses should be an interesting read. Come to think about it, so would Alice Cooper! Remember when he performed on the Dark Shadows movie?

Winter Still

Winter is still here. 3 Degrees today. I am not pleasant to be around. I haven't been feeling well. I pray God forgives me and the weather improves. This is a bad winter. It isn't over, yet.

I did read Devotions today.

Snow, Nature

Prompt: When it snows, nature listens. Write about this quote in your Blog entry today.

It snows. Snow is quiet. You can't hear the snow unless the wind blows. The snow isn't making a sound. The trees do. Birds may sing. The woods are quiet. A wolf may howl. Snow makes things look beautiful. Nature enjoys the beauty. It's peaceful.

The positives of snow. It has snowed in 18 states or more this week. Icy. Cold. Pile ups. Power outages. Staying home. You can do things at home. Reading. Writing. Texting friends. Look outside and see a Norman Rockwell scene.

I have been thinking of positive ways to enjoy the snow. I saw this quote and decided to go with it.

Winter Saga Continues

0 Degrees. It was cold and windy. My husband plowed snow. It is going to be windy and more light snow later this week. I haven't seen any polar bears but I would like to. I made a roast in the oven.

I wish winter was over. We do have electricity. No January thaw in sight.

On that note, I am going to bed.

Snow Storm Arrived

7 Degrees. We got 4 inches of snow and we are getting more. The snow is widespread from Indiana, Texas, New England and the Carolinas. This is a bad one. In Indiana, we get lake effect snow and that gets rough.

It is supposed to be calmer tomorrow. It is going to be cold all week.

I hope winter let's up.

Changed

Prompt: Joy asked if someone said we changed, what does it means? Does it mean we aren't living up to that person's standards?

My father was in the military and we moved a lot. Changing schools. New friends. Being in activities. I was rebellious at times but I was a good kid. My mother and I lived with my grandparents when Dad was in Vietnam.

I changed after high school. I went to a college run by Nuns and behaved like a Nun. I had thought of becoming a Nun. I changed again after college. I ran around with a bad crowd and was a hippie. I got married and had a son. I found God again. I have a good life with my husband. I loved my mother. She died. My life has changed. I don't shop much. My cousin and I are close
I am glad I have her. I stay at home a lot.

People saying you change. It can be a good thing. If you hang out with bad people, you act like them. You hang out with good people and Church people, you act like them. Some Church people aren't always nice. Life is about change. You do your best and pray for guidance. I do. That's what I do.

Live Each Day As It Comes

Live each day as it comes. I have been doing that for 10 years or more. We still plan things and have hopes and dreams. I pray every day for myself and the world. I have been on earth for 70 years and we know some days as better then others.

-3 Degrees at this moment. We are getting snow and cold Sunday.

My cousin text me. Her husband has an upper respiratory infection.

I need to do laundry and dishes. I need to clean bathrooms.

I hope for good things. I wish life was like it was before Covid and before I had arthritis. We go forward.

Praying for everyone facing snow and cold weather. Wishing everyone a good winter.

The Coldest Day

It is going to be 0 Degrees. It is going to snow and be cold. When did I move to Siberia or Alaska? I have nowhere to go so I will be home. It is going to be cold for a week and snowing off and on.

I ordered a book about Vietnam Nurses. I am going to write a article about Vietnam Nurses. I am writing it for the military group challenge.

I need to catch up on my reading. I can forget about the cold and snow. I am reading a Alice Cooper Book and want to read the Danielle Steel Book I bought.

Winter Olympics.

Prompt: Winter Olympics are coming. What Winter Olympic Sports will you be watching?

I love ice skating. The women. The men. Couples. Costumes. I admire how talented the skaters are. Skating to music. This is the most beautiful sport.

Snowboarding. I loved Shaun White. He was great. I will miss him since he retired but I will watch it this year and enjoy it.

Skiing is interesting. I hope they show curling. It is neat. Bobsledding. I like watching it.

These are the sports I will be watching.

Winter Scene

Prompt: Describe a winter scene from your windows where you live.

It was 3 Degrees today. The wind blew snow all over yesterday and gave us drifts. My husband was out plowing snow. The mailman delivered 2 packages for me plus all our mail. We live at the end of a semi long lane. My husband bought the mail in. I got the Alice Cooper book I ordered and a amethyst and diamond ring. Sometimes, I see a deer outside my windows and the corn fields are covered with snow. We have snow birds and crows. The snow plow goes by. This is the scene from my windows on a snowy day.

Another Cold Winter Day

Another Cold Winter Day. 3 Degrees and the wind blew snow everywhere. I stayed indoors. Too cold.

I vacuumed. I watched TV.

Going to be cold all week. I pray winter eases up.
