I work as a Qualified Medication Assistant in mental health. I am married and have a striped gray cat named Tigger. I do physical therapy exercises that seem to help my mobility and my back pain. When I actually do them and don't just think about doing them, it makes me feel encouraged somewhat.

I used to make peanut brittle for Tom. He would help me when I had to pour it out.

This year, one of my sister's in law sent me home made toffee. It's so yummy and it was nice that she did that for me.

It was very thoughtful and unexpected.

I'm glad the weather has eased up a bit with the snow. I love granny nightgowns!

Christmas Vacation is a favorite on mine, too! I usually put it on the Saturday or Sunday following Thanksgiving to kick off the season. That's when I begin decorating my tree.

It's supposed to be more winter-like than it's been. Forecast highs into the 60s(!) through the 22nd, and nothing below 40 until the 28th. Nice enough, but we'll likely pay for it later. Glad you're comfy cozy.

Today was a sunny day. There was a rocket launch earlier. I love to catch a glimpse of it heading off to space while looking outside my window. No snow in the forecast, here.

Winter Recharge

Winter. How do we recharge? It is too cold to do anything. I stay inside. I try to keep my house clean. I try to eat right. I pray. I rest as much as possible.

I wish I could recharge my battery if I had one. We just take care of ourselves. We think of happy things. I read Bible Passages.

We just live each day as it comes. We hope life is good for all of us. Just rest, eat and try to be positive. Works for me. Winter will do its worst.

Christmas Goodies

Prompt: Lyn asked if we bake cookies and cakes for other people or if we receive baked goodies for others?

No, I don't bake sweets and goodies for other people. I bake a chocolate cake for my husband and me or a Funfetti cake. If someone drops by, I do share it. I can't roll out cookies and bake them.

My mother used to bake fudge and gingerbread men for me and everyone. I miss her so much. Not for her goodies but because she was Mom. My husband and I buy gingerbread men and Christmas cakes. I used to bake cupcakes in my mini cupcake maker. I have no ambition. My husband ordered a chocolate cake with Snoopy on it for my Birthday. I do look forward to that. Baked goodies. I do love them.

Winter Countdown

Winter countdown. It's here. Today, we got some sun. No rain or snow. Cold. We had wind earlier this week. Wearing granny pajamas and nightgown.

My kitty sleeps in the closet on a dog blanket. She likes sleeping underneath a lighthouse blanket on the bed.

I watched Christmas Vacation. One of my favorite Christmas movies.

It may snow tomorrow but just an inch. Hopefully, winter will be quiet for awhile.

More winter adventures I am sure.

Another Winters Day

We had rain and snow today. The snow turned to slush. 30 some Degrees.

I got some carpet cleaners to shampoo Mom's rugs and it will be done next week.

I called my cousin today. We hadn't talked in awhile. He is going through a lot.

Going to be quiet tomorrow but more snow this weekend. I will manage somehow. Those facing bad weather will endure as well.

Winter Continues

We are getting freezing rain and back to lake effect snow. It is cold. It is going to be cold the rest of the week and more snow. Every weekend, we are snowed in.

I have no plans this week. Maybe write a story. Just stay warm.

I have been listening to Christmas music and I am sure we are having a white Christmas. The snow will be here for Christmas.

FedEx, Fedup

I ordered a purple Kate Spade Purse from Kate Spade, the day before Thanksgiving. It was scheduled to be here a week later on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went. The emails kept saying it will be the next day. It got here Monday. It was 5 days late.

My husband has an electric auto repairs store. He orders parts and FedEx is always late. They don't care about their customers. So sad.

The US Mail. I ordered a Downton Abbey Book. I got the package. It was empty! The book said contents were removed and the box was damaged. Porch pirates before it even got to my door.

The delivery of mail and packages has been this way since Covid! I guess we just hope things improve. I am fedup!

A Sunday

I didn't go to Church. It snowed an inch. It's going to be 2 Degrees tonight.

I made my potato soup. I vacuumed today.

I watched Christmas Shows all day.

Weekend Blues

I cleaned the bathrooms today. I folded up laundry.

It is going to snow 3 inches. Like we need more snow.

Tomorrow, am making potato soup. I finally learned to mix flour with milk and I am going to add a can of chicken noodle soup, potatoes, carrots and onions. Cheese. I want to put some rivals in it. Hopefully, I will make them right.

I need to read Devotions. I doubt if I go to Church. I hate going anywhere in winter.

I am watching The Mod Squad. I have been watching Christmas Shows but I chose The Mod Squad tonight.

Cold December Day

25 Degrees today. My husband took me to the jewelry store because they are closing down. I found out they are just selling their inventory and not closing. I bought a nice blue stone ring with diamonds. This is my Birthday this month. The blue stone ring I bought is my birthstone.

It was icy and snow by the jewelry day. No sunshine. It was cold.

This weekend I need to clean house. I need to make put Christmas cards.

Going to be cold all weekend and snow Sunday. I will be staying home. Thank you, winter.

Blogging

Prompt: Brad Paisley said a Blog is like writing a book and to make it a good one. Would we consider getting our Blogs published?

Okay. I like the word journal. I hate the word Blog. I think of the Smog Monster. I call them journals.

Writing in a journal every day is like writing a book about ourselves.

I have been writing in journals for 25 years. What do I write in them, you ask?

When I was working, I wrote about my Nursing job at the county home and in mental health. I didn't always like my job and I wrote about the ups and downs of my job.

I wrote about how I found out I had a half sister and her trips to Indiana to see me and my trips to Florida to see her. We went to Disneyland.

I wrote my husband and our trips to Michigan to the Christmas Store. My mother and I went to my cousins house in Holland, Michigan andvI met an artist who lives there and does beautiful art work.

I have written about my scrapbooking classes and things I did in scrapbooking.

I wrote about my 2 published books and all my stories I have written at WDC and the awards and friends I have.

I wrote about my surgeries and past health issues I have had. I hate these things in my life.

I wrote about my cat and other friends pets and my parents pets.

I write about my shopping trips and Mom. She loved to shop. My mother and I did things together and I have written about that. I wrote about my fathers death and my mother's death. I wrote all my feelings down

I write about the bad weather and good weather. I wrote about TV Shows and books I have read.

I write about spending holidays with my family. I write about my son and I when he comes home from Oregon and we visit. I write about families and friends.

I got baptized and I write about my religious beliefs.

I would consider having my journals published. Your thoughts?
