I will say, that as much as I ADORE my quiet mornings by myself, it is much more difficult to crawl out of bed when it is cold. Warm, sunny days are definitely the best!

Sunny days are better, but mornings are difficult here, too.

When the sun is out, the world seems less lonely I guess!

Flower child is fine, too. When you were a flower child, I was probably a flower matron.

I used to be a huge fan of gardening. Now I have to contend with flower pots and a couple of raised flower-beds.

Tom was the gardener here. He had a huge vegetable garden at another location. He supplied a lot of vegeys to the local Urban Ministry. I love looking at flowers.

I used to plant tulips, but my back won't cooperate with doing that anymore.

Ah yes, Friday the 13th. Maybe you'll be lucky again when I roll the dice tomorrow from Beware Friday 13!

Gentle rain is good. We had some heavy showers passing through the past couple days. But, there was a break in the storm so we could go in the pool for a couple hours.

I love Downton Abbey. I have re-watched the final movie, too. Ill go back to the beginning again after some time away from it. I miss the characters we've got to know and love over the years.

Last Day Of February

Last Day of February. My husband's Birthday is February 29. I guess today is his Birthday. Maybe we will have take out pizza.

We may get a little snow. Yesterday was 60 Degrees. Maybe spring will get here.
I hope for good things.

Thursday

My mother's best friend called me today. She lives in Mississippi. She is a close friend to me as well. She is coming home to June so I will get to see her then.

It is cold but no snow. It is going to snow this weekend.

Getting through the rest of the winter. I will be glad to see summer.

Just waiting on spring. How was your day?

Jane Goodall Heaven

Jane Goodall. Heaven. She felt that being in nature had magical moments and thought of it as heaven. She lived with gorillas. Maybe she lived with chimpanzees, too. I like gorillas and chimpanzees. I could hug a chimpanzee. I would hug a gorilla if he or she would let me. Being in the jungle. I think gorillas and chimpanzees would protect me. A green forest. A blue sky. It would feel like heaven. I had plenty of food and felt good,, I could handle nature and the gorillas and chimpanzees. Maybe it would be heaven. God would be with me. I am home.

Shamrocks

Prompt: Write about shamrocks.

They are grown in Ireland. They have 3 sides. and are like clover. Shamrocks bring good luck. They represent The Father,, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Druids felt they represent religious aspects and are everything good. Irish people grow shamrocks in their houses. It is like shamrocks are the luck of the Irish. You always see a leprechaun wearing a shamrocks on their labels or hats. Maybe I should say pictures of leprechauns. I could use a shamrock for good luck. Maybe someday,, I will have my own shamrock. It would be nice.

Winter's Still.Here

We were supposed to get an inch of snow yesterday. We ended up getting 4 inches. The wind blew and gave us drifts. My husband plowed snow.

I look out the window. Snow. New York and New Jersey are getting hit pretty bad with snow. I am in Indiana. I can't see New York from my yard.

Time for a winter night sleep. Warm wishes to all who read this.

If I Went To The Olympics

The Olympics are over. I loved all the ice skating. I enjoyed the skiing. I think what if I would have been there? Okay.

I would enjoy seeing the mountains and snow in Italy. The Abbey. The Church. It is huge and beautiful. I could spend 2 or 3 hours there. I would be close to God.

I would have watched all the skating. I would have watched some of the skiing and snowboarding. Shaun White was there. I would love to have him. He is a favorite with me. Ilia. I just love him. I am so sad he didn't win the Gold Medal. It would have been nice to have met him.

That beautiful dog that looked like a wolf. He ran behind the skiers. Everyone petted him. I would have loved to have played with him.

I suppose I would have met more of the athletes.

I would have enjoyed the restaurants. I enjoy Italian food .

Shopping. It would have been nice to see all the stores and shop.

I bet the hotel rooms were nice.

This is how I imagine my trip to Milan, Italy would be if I could have been there. I wonder if I could have met Andrea Borcelli. I love his singing. How did you like my imaginary trip to The Olympics?

Lost Journal

A lost journal. I kept a couple of diaries in Junior High. They got burned in my house fire years ago. My one diary, I wrote what was happening on Dark Shadows every day. I would write about my classes. I would write about my favorite songs. Not much to write about in Junior High I have Mom's journals. Sadly, I haven't read them all. I have journals but I haven't read them in a long time. I would hate to lose one of my journals. My journals hold no dire secrets. They are important anyway.

Cards

Cards. I love getting cards in the mail. Christmas Cards. Greeting Cards. Do they have a hidden meaning? When Mom died, I got sympathy cards. This meant people cared. That meant a lot. Christmas Cards. People thinking of you and remembering God and Jesus .Wishing you a Merry Christmas Birthday Cards. A special event. Somebody loves you. This says a lot. A card for any holiday is special. Greetings Cards. Just saying HI. What is the special meaning? Someone loves you and you are special

Winter Rain

Winter rain. We had winter rain today and as of this writing, it is raining again. We had a thunder storm. It is going to snow this weekend. Some parts of Indiana had hail and tornado warnings. So, Mr. Groundhog: When does spring get here? Most of the snow melted but we are bare getting more. We had 40 Degrees. If it wasn't for snow, I could say it is spring. I guess it will be winter for awhile longer. Wishing everyone a good almost spring.

What To Write

I don't always know what to write. I did talk to my son on the phone. He lives in Oregon. His puppy is being a bad girl. She will grow out of ot. She is a French Bulldog.

We got rain. We get snow Sunday.

I always pray for the world. Hope things get better. I did write something.
